tracey + tyer | francis marion wedding

When Tracey and Tyler asked us to take their engagement AND wedding photos, we were over the moon! We had so much fun at their engagement session that we had no doubt their wedding day was going to be amazing (it was)!

Tracey and Tyler married in December at the Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Their ceremony site was spacious and beautiful. Wreaths and ribbons adorned the church and added a warm, holiday feel to the already gorgeous venue!

After the ceremony, the two hitched a ride in pure Charleston-style. A horse drawn carriage guided the couple through the streets of downtown where bystanders shouted their congratulations to the happy couple. The ride was a great way to show off the newlyweds, all while giving the two of them some time to step back and enjoy their first moments as husband and wife!

The reception followed at the Francis Marion Hotel. If you've ever been to this venue, you know it is fit for a royalty. Chandeliers hung from the dramatic ceilings while grand windows overlooked the heart of downtown Charleston.  It was the perfect place to continue such an elegant affair. The couple shared a classy brunch with their guests, hosted an anniversary dance, and mingled the day away with their friends and family. Tracey and Tyler's wedding was such a perfect day. We are so honored to have been able to capture these moments for two very amazing people.

Enjoy!
The two decided to share a first prayer together with their bridal party before the ceremony!

Tyler's Aunt and Uncle were the last dancing during the Anniversary Dance. They had been married for 58 years and gave the bride and groom some wise marriage advice!

We were so honored to be a part of Tracey and Tyler's journey from the engagement session to their wedding day. Wishing them a life and marriage as loving and beautiful as they are!

Advice from our bride:

"RELAX! In Charleston, you do have to book early, but don't panic. Even if you have a short engagement, there are plenty of options. Ask for help. This process can be overwhelming. Take it a step at a time and know there are things that others can help with and some they can't. Your bridal party, and family and friends can be amazing sources of help and encouragement. I (Tracey) was surprised at how much I had to rely on my bridesmaids during our wedding weekend and I was beyond thankful they were there! Don't lose sight of why you're getting married- it's about your love for each other, not a performance. Your guests are there to celebrate you. Soak in the love.

Have a day of coordinator!! We can't say enough about the two friends who stood guard over anything that could have gone wrong that day while we were blissfully unaware."
