claire + kyler | island house wedding

Sometimes you meet a person and it takes all but five minutes to come to the conclusion that they are going to be amazing to work with. After meeting Claire back in 2017, we instantly knew that she and Kyler were going to be a couple we'd never forget. All of our expectations came to life when the two tied the knot at the Island House on Johns Island in April. Everyone was such a pleasure to work with and their wedding was a ball of fun! We couldn't get enough of these two kind souls and their sweet bridal party. We are beyond honored that this couple asked us to capture their day, and we hope we get the opportunity to capture their love again in the future!

cline family

There is something extra special and a little nostalgic about capturing photos for repeat clients. Especially when those clients have tiny humans who are growing up so fast! Last time we took photos of the Cline family, the oldest sister was just a little peanut. Now she has a new sister who is about the same age as she was during our first session. It was extra adorable to see how sweet big brother was with his little sisters too! We are so excited and honored when asked to capture another milestone for this growing family, and we hope to take many more family photos for them for years to come!

3 tricks for the picture perfect pup!

"Sit. Stay. Smile!"

We all know how hard it can be to get our furry family members to behave for a photo session. As photographers that have worked with hundreds of dogs, it is safe to say we've almost seen it all. With a little patience, some practice at home, and these easy tips; your pup will be photo ready in no time!
1. A relaxed dog is a happy dog! If you own a pup with an expendable amount of energy, a quick trip to the dog park or a long walk will go a long way. This will help him/her focus a little better and maybe discourage them from pursuing other interests while posing.

2. Did someone say "treat?" It's hard to get the kids to look at the camera, but what about our four-legged ones? If you know what catches your pup's attention, be sure to bring that along to your photo session! A special toy or treat is a great tool for us to hold above our cameras to assure your dog is looking towards the lens and focusing on us.

3. Mastering basic commands. If your dog understands basic commands such as "sit" and "stay," they are well on the way to being a star of some great family photos. When our assistants can hold your dog's attention while sitting nicely, it gives the rest of the family time to get set and focus on their smiles.

Don't forget to join us for the May the Dogs Be With You Festival where you can put your dog's modeling skills to the test! Come visit us on May 5th at Firefly Distillery and Deep Water Vineyard to enter your dog in for the Lowcountry Dog  Magazine Cover Contest!
